From „noon to noon“ the Austrian Society for Disaster Risk Reduction held a meeting mid of November at Austrian Red Cross Headquarters in Vienna. Different stakeholders in Disaster related actions presented their projects and discussed about relevant aspects in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.
Enabling First and Second Responders to safer and more efficient operations for disaster affected population by development of technologies, training settings and management tools in European and national funded Research projects was one of the key components on the first day of the meeting. Therefor Austrian Red Cross presented its most important projects such as RESCUER. Insights to the concept of “HERO” tool kit as well as video glimpses of Modane Pre-Pilot were offered to audience. Especially the integrated components of RESCUER system have been of high interest by the community.
