Austrian Red Cross research team participated in ASDR (Austrian Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction) conference on natural hazards in September 2023 held in Kufstein (Austria), where the team presented its research project portfolio driven by the motto “Disasters, so what?!” (German: “Katastrophe, na und?!”).
Several different approaches of ongoing national and EU funded research projects were introduced in “Green conference” setting without printed dissemination material to the diverse crowd of participants. Related to response phase within Disaster Management Cycle the “HERO” tool kit and concept of RESCUER modules was shown on screen to the audience of about 120 members of local, regional and national authority representatives as well as First Responders and Disaster Management experts.
